On September 25, 1957, nine Black students, known as the Little Rock Nine, faced intense racial hostilities and had to be escorted by federal troops into Little Rock Arkansas Central High School. In memory of this day, we chose September 25th to honor those who still stand in the gaps and to acknowledge our responsibility to advocate for the education of Black students.
